Discussed in the assigned readings (Social Robotics) and the “Uncanny Valley” is a concept related to human responses to the portrayal of living things via social robots. Two approaches to dealing with this issue is to take a “Zoomorphic” design or a “Caricatured” design approach to building the robots.
Briefly define and describe the concept of the “Uncanny Valley”. Find a new/different example of this concept that was not presented in presentation. (They need not be robotic examples but may also come from attempts to portray humans in computer graphics, gaming, films, etc.)

Explain how/why Zoomorphic and Caricatured approaches to robot-design can assist in avoiding the Uncanny Valley.
