By now you would have started with your paper that is due on November 22, 2015. You would need to start off with an abstract for the study. The abstract will contain about 250 words. An abstract is a concise summary of what you have written. This memorandum shows you how to prepare your paper in printer-ready format. You are required to use times new roman, font size 12, boldface and justified on both ends. The appearance must be consistent with the other papers produced by students. The paper starts off with an introduction. This introduction should contain about 450 words. The guideline is designed to achieve uniformity in the papers for this class. It explains how to prepare an electronic printer-ready version. Your paper will be presented ‘as is’. Please use the specific styles defined in this document to format your paper. Please use the Times New Roman font only (font size 12). Your manuscript must fit within the required margins. A “review of the literature” is a classification and evaluation of what accredited scholars and researchers have written on a topic. In writing the literature review, your purpose is to convey to your reader what knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic, and what their strengths and weaknesses are. As a piece of writing, the literature review must be defined by a guiding concept. A literature review consists of an overview, a summary, and an evaluation (“critique”) of the current state Besides enlarging your knowledge about the topic, writing a literature review lets you gain and demonstrate skills in two areas: information seeking: the ability to scan the literature efficiently, using manual and computerized methods, to identify a set of useful articles, books and documents; critical appraisal: the ability to apply principles of analysis to identify unbiased and valid studies. Each subsection should have at least 25 words. Write in a very diligent manner. Present several subsections to bring out what you wish to convey.


A literature review must do these things: be organized around and related directly to the thesis or research question you are developing; synthesize results into a summary of what is and is not known; identify areas of controversy in the literature; formulate questions that need further research.


If you are going to provide Figures and Tables, captions should be provided below the figures (use font size 12 in figures descriptions) as shown in Figure 1, and table captions above the table (use font size 12 in tables).

The conclusion is often what a reader remembers best. Your conclusion should be the best part of your paper.
