The purpose of this paper is to reflect upon and critically review and analyze, from a psychiatric mental health nursing perspective, one of the following titles. It should be remembered that your paper not be written before you have experienced the psychiatric mental health portion of the clinical practicum.

Address the following in your paper:

Discuss your personal responses and reflections upon the author’s story.

Based upon your readings from a related nursing research article, the Halter and Varcarolis texts, lecture, and other materials utilized in your psychiatric mental health nursing study, reflect upon the book and what you have learned from reading it which expands your knowledge of psychiatric mental health nursing.

Identify and discuss the psychiatric mental health concepts presented in the book.

Focus on how your clinical nursing practice will be influenced by what you have gleaned from your selected book.

Please note: Because this is not a book report, but rather a Reflection Paper, keep your synopsis of the book to not more than 1 to 2 pages.

Remember to use APA format for your paper. The paper will be 6 to 7 pages in length, plus the face sheet and reference sheet(s). Use headings to organize your paper.

Use the following guidelines in your paper:

1. Submit your two copies of the paper in a folder, and include a print copy of the nursing research article utilized.
2. Submit one copy of your paper electronically to Mary Westerman via email:

3. Print your paper in APA format, 12 font, Times New Roman, double-spaced.
4. Cite all readings for the Reflection Paper, including at least 1 current nursing research article that supports your reflections in your paper.
5. APA writing guidelines are posted on Moodle.
6. Keep to the posted due date. Early submission of papers is not recommended unless there are serious reasons to submit your paper early.
